2026 Financial Checklist
Answer a few quick Yes/No questions as we go through the workshop. At the end, you’ll see how much of your 2026 checklist you’ve already completed.
Budget
Do you have a written or digital monthly budget that you review at least once a month?
Emergency Fund
Do you have an emergency fund with at least 3–6 months of essential expenses saved?
Is your emergency fund kept in a separate, easily accessible savings or money market account?
Automatic Bank Drafts
Do you have automatic transfers set up from checking to savings each month?
Do you have automatic drafts set up into your retirement accounts (401(k), IRA, etc.) for 2026?
Retirement Funding
Are you contributing at least enough to your workplace retirement plan to receive the full employer match?
Do you have a clear contribution goal for retirement savings in 2026 (a % of income or a dollar amount)?
Protection & Life Insurance
Have you reviewed your life insurance coverage in the past 12 months?
Debt Payoff Plan
Do you have a written plan to pay off your non-mortgage debt (credit cards, personal loans, etc.)?

Do you know your top three money priorities for the first 90 days of 2026?
